Meitheal
is a community
development support and training organisation. Our mission is to create
change through working for equality and social justice.
The way we work is guided by the values of community development,
equality and feminism. Meitheal has worked in the
community and voluntary sector over the last fifteen years. In that
time we have worked with hundreds of community and voluntary
organisations, such as:
- Disability organisations
- Lesbian and Gay organisations
- Local community groups,
organisations and networks
- Minority ethnic and migrant
community organisations
- Traveller organisations
- Voluntary management committees
- Women's organisations

Training
|

Meitheal training has contributed to the promotion of equality and
change at personal, organisational, community and national levels. Our
training is based on active participation, reflection and skills
development. This leads to participants gaining confidence, being able
to build on their own experience and put new learning into action. Since
1995 Meitheal has provided courses in Group
Facilitation Skills at both Foundation and Advanced levels.

Organisational Development
|

Meitheal
provides an
organisational development consultancy service. We offer this service
to community and voluntary organisations that are working to tackle
poverty and inequality. Our consultancy work bases itself on the active
reflection and engagement of the people working in an organisation. Our
service is designed to meet the individual developmental needs of each
organisation. The work we do includes:

Meeting space available to rent

- Ideal for meetings or training sessions.
- The room is
located on the second floor of our building and seats up to 15 people.
- Rent includes
flipchart stand, paper and markers.
- You may also
avail of shared access to our kitchen facilities. Tea/coffee and
biscuits are included.
